Tilshead Borehole Levels: 29th March 2020

A lovely dry and often warm week has seen the steady fall of the Tilshead borehole water level and it is now below the 99m AOD flood alert level; although our Environment Agency Flood Alert remains in force.  It can only be a matter of hours or days before that is lifted and perhaps we can breathe a sigh of relief.

We can expect some cold and dry weather for the next few days with some showers on Wednesday and Thursday, perhaps wintry on Thursday.  The weather is expected to remain predominantly dry until mid April when the rain seems likely to return.

I hope this weekly notice has been helpful.  We have now reached the end of the critical three-month winter monitoring schedule and so this will be the last report for Winter 2019-2020 and it will return, in one guise or another, in December 2020.  If we have any prolonged periods of rain before then that looks like returning us to flood conditions, you will be alerted.  Let’s hope Coronavirus disappears quickly and we can enjoy the summer!
